Return & Refund Policy
At Ajanaku Gallery, we want you to be completely satisfied with your art acquisition. We understand that seeing an artwork in person can sometimes differ from viewing it digitally. Below are our terms and conditions for returns and refunds.
Return Window
We offer a 14-day return window from the date of delivery.
If you wish to return an artwork, you must notify the gallery in writing at info@ajanakugallery.com within 14 calendar days of receiving the piece to request a Return Authorization (RA).
Returns will not be accepted without prior written authorization from the gallery.
Conditions for Returns
To be eligible for a refund, the artwork must meet the following criteria:
The artwork must be returned in its original, pristine condition as it was sent. Any signs of alteration, framing, damage, or wear will void the return policy.
It must be returned in its original packaging (or equivalent professional-grade art packaging) to ensure safe transit.
All accompanying documentation, including the Certificate of Authenticity (COA), invoices, and gallery labels, must be included in the return shipment.
Return Shipping & Costs
Purchaser Responsibility: The purchaser is solely responsible for all return shipping costs, packaging expenses, and logistics.
Transit Insurance: Because artworks are highly valuable and fragile, the return shipment must be fully insured for its full purchase value. The purchaser must arrange and pay for this insurance. Ajanaku Gallery is not responsible for any damage or loss that occurs during the return transit.
Duties & Taxes: Any international customs duties, import taxes, or clearance fees incurred during the return process are the responsibility of the purchaser and will be deducted from the final refund amount if charged to the gallery.
Refund Process
Once the returned artwork arrives safely back at the gallery, our curatorial team will inspect its condition.
Upon successful inspection and verification that the artwork is undamaged, we will process your refund within 7 to 10 business days.
The refund will be issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.
Please note that original shipping costs, custom crating fees, and non-refundable transaction processing fees (if applicable) are non-refundable.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded:
Specially commissioned or custom-ordered artworks.
Artworks sold during clear-out events or marked as “Final Sale”.
Digital publications or downloaded catalogues.
Artworks that have been framed or altered by the purchaser.
